1 if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead.
2 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect: but I press on, if so be that I may lay hold on that for which also I was laid hold on by Christ Jesus.
3 Brethren, I count not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing
4 I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,
5 I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
6 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you:
7 only, whereunto we have attained, by that same
8 rule let us walk.
9 Brethren, be ye imitators together of me, and mark them that so walk even as ye have us for an ensample.
10 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping,
11 that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
12 whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and
13 whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
14 For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
15 who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation,
16 that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.
17 Wherefore, my brethren beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my beloved.
18 I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Lord.
19 Yea, I beseech thee also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow-workers, whose names are in the book of life.
20 Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.
21 Let your forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
22 In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
23 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

6 Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known toGod;
7 and the peace ofGod, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus.
8 For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things [are] true, whatsoever things [are] noble, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] amiable, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue and if any praise, think on these things.
9 What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and theGod of peace shall be with you.
10 But I rejoiced in [the] Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think [of me], but lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak as regards privation, for as to me I have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself.
12 I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation.
13 I have strength for all things in him that gives me power.
14 But ye have done well in taking part in my affliction.
15 And know also ye, O Philippians, that in [the] beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated [anything] to me in [the] way of giving and receiving save ye alone;
16 for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need.
17 Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account.
18 But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable toGod.
19 But myGod shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
20 But to ourGod and Father [be] glory to the ages of ages. Amen.
21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who [are] with me salute you.
22 All the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit. Amen.

10 But I rejoice in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.
12 I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
14 However you did well that you shared in my affliction.
15 You yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the Good News, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only.
16 For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to my need.
17 Not that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your account.
18 But I have all things and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.
19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
20 Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever! Amen.
21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you.
22 All the saints greet you, especially those who are of Caesar’s household.

A long, long time ago, there was nothing at all - no earth, no sky, no animals, no people. It was all dark and empty. But God was there! God is so powerful that He can make anything just by speaking. So God said "Let there be light!" and BOOM! There was light everywhere! God saw that the light was beautiful and good. He called the light "day" and the darkness "night." This was the very first day when God started making our wonderful world!

Explain Like I'm 10

Before anything existed - no planets, stars, or life - God decided to create the universe. The earth started out as a dark, empty place covered with water. But God's Spirit was there, ready to bring order and beauty to everything. When God spoke and said "Let there be light," light immediately appeared because God's words have incredible power. God looked at the light and was pleased with what He had made. He organized time by separating light (day) from darkness (night), creating the first 24-hour period. This shows us that God is organized and purposeful in everything He does.
