1 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.
2 And even as they refused to have God in
3 their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
4 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
5 backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
6 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful:
7 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.
8 Wherefore thou art without excuse, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost practise the same things.
9 And we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against them that practise such things.
10 And reckonest thou this, O man, who judgest them that practise such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
11 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
12 but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
13 who will render to every man according to his works:
14 to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life:
15 but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness,
16 shall be wrath and indignation,
17 tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that worketh evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek;
18 but glory and honor and peace to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek:
19 for there is no respect of persons with God.
20 For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law;
21 for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified;
22 (for when Gentiles that have not the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are the law unto themselves;
23 in that they show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness therewith, and their thoughts one with another accusing or else excusing
24 them);
25 in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my gospel, by Jesus Christ.
26 But if thou bearest the name of a Jew, and restest upon the law, and gloriest in God,
27 and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,
28 and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,
29 a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth;

21 thou then that teachest another, dost thou not teach thyself? thou that preachest not to steal, dost thou steal?
22 thou that sayest [man should] not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
23 thou who boastest in law, dost thou by transgression of the law dishonourGod?
24 For the name ofGod is blasphemed on your account among the nations, according as it is written.
25 For circumcision indeed profits if thou keep [the] law; but if thou be a law-transgressor, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.
26 If therefore the uncircumcision keep the requirements of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision,
27 and uncircumcision by nature, fulfilling the law, judge thee, who, with letter and circumcision, [art] a law-transgressor?
28 For he is not a Jew who [is] one outwardly, neither that circumcision which is outward in flesh;
29 but he [is] a Jew [who is so] inwardly; and circumcision, of the heart, in spirit, not in letter; whose praise [is] not of men, but ofGod.

27 et iudicabit id, quod ex natura est præputium, legem consummans, te, qui per litteram, et circumcisionem prævaricator legis es?
28 Non enim qui in manifesto, Iudæus est: neque quæ in manifesto, in carne, est circumcisio:

8 but to those who are self-seeking and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath, indignation,
9 oppression, and anguish on every soul of man who does evil, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
10 But glory, honor, and peace go to every man who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
11 For there is no partiality with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

27 Won’t those who are physically uncircumcised, but fulfill the law, judge you, who with the letter and circumcision are a transgressor of the law?

29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

A long, long time ago, there was nothing at all - no earth, no sky, no animals, no people. It was all dark and empty. But God was there! God is so powerful that He can make anything just by speaking. So God said "Let there be light!" and BOOM! There was light everywhere! God saw that the light was beautiful and good. He called the light "day" and the darkness "night." This was the very first day when God started making our wonderful world!

Explain Like I'm 10

Before anything existed - no planets, stars, or life - God decided to create the universe. The earth started out as a dark, empty place covered with water. But God's Spirit was there, ready to bring order and beauty to everything. When God spoke and said "Let there be light," light immediately appeared because God's words have incredible power. God looked at the light and was pleased with what He had made. He organized time by separating light (day) from darkness (night), creating the first 24-hour period. This shows us that God is organized and purposeful in everything He does.
