1 Let their table be made a snare, and a trap,
2 And a stumblingblock, and a recompense unto them:
3 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see,
4 And bow thou down their back always.
5 I say then, Did they stumble that they might fall? God forbid: but by their fall salvation
6 is come unto the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.
7 Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
8 But I speak to you that are Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I glorify my ministry;
9 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy
10 them that are my flesh, and may save some of them.
11 For if the casting away of them
12 is the reconciling of the world, what
13 shall the receiving
14 of them be, but life from the dead?
15 And if the firstfruit is holy, so is the lump: and if the root is holy, so are the branches.
16 But if some of the branches were broken off, and thou, being a wild olive, wast grafted in among them, and didst become partaker with them of the root of the fatness of the olive tree;
17 glory not over the branches: but if thou gloriest, it is not thou that bearest the root, but the root thee.
18 Thou wilt say then, Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
19 Well; by their unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by thy faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
20 for if God spared not the natural branches, neither will he spare thee.
21 Behold then the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell, severity; but toward thee, God’s goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
22 And they also, if they continue not in their unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
23 For if thou wast cut out of that which is by nature a wild olive tree, and wast grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree; how much more shall these, which are the natural
24 branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?
25 For I would not, brethren, have you ignorant of this mystery, lest ye be wise in your own conceits, that a hardening in part hath befallen Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in;
26 and so all Israel shall be saved: even as it is written,
27 There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer;
28 He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
29 And this is my covenant unto them,
30 When I shall take away their sins.
31 As touching the gospel, they are enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sake.
32 For the gifts and the calling of God are not repented of.
33 For as ye in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,

3 For the Christ also did not please himself; but according as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproach thee have fallen upon me.
4 For as many things as have been written before have been written for our instruction, that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
5 Now theGod of endurance and of encouragement give to you to be like-minded one toward another, according to Christ Jesus;
6 that ye may with one accord, with one mouth, glorify theGod and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Wherefore receive ye one another, according as the Christ also has received you to [the] glory ofGod.
8 For I say that Jesus Christ became a minister of [the] circumcision for [the] truth ofGod, to confirm the promises of the fathers;
9 and that the nations should glorifyGod for mercy; according as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among [the] nations, and will sing to thy name.
10 And again he says, Rejoice, nations, with his people.
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all [ye] nations, and let all the peoples laud him.
12 And again, Esaias says, There shall be the root of Jesse, and one that arises, to rule over [the] nations: in him shall [the] nations hope.
13 Now theGod of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by [the] power of [the] Holy Spirit.
14 But I am persuaded, my brethren, I myself also, concerning you, that yourselves also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15 But I have written to you the more boldly, [brethren,] in part, as putting you in mind, because of the grace given to me byGod,
16 for me to be minister of Christ Jesus to the nations, carrying on as a sacrificial service the [message of] glad tidings ofGod, in order that the offering up of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by [the] Holy Spirit.
17 I have therefore [whereof to] boast in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain toGod.
18 For I will not dare to speak anything of the things which Christ has not wrought by me, for [the] obedience of [the] nations, by word and deed,
19 in [the] power of signs and wonders, in [the] power of [the] Spirit ofGod; so that I, from Jerusalem, and in a circuit round to Illyricum, have fully preached the glad tidings of the Christ;
20 and so aiming to announce the glad tidings, not where Christ has been named, that I might not build upon another's foundation;
21 but according as it is written, To whom there was nothing told concerning him, they shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand.
22 Wherefore also I have been often hindered from coming to you.
23 But now, having no longer place in these regions, and having great desire to come to you these many years,
24 whenever I should go to Spain; (for I hope to see you as I go through, and by you to be set forward thither, if first I shall have been in part filled with your company;)
25 but now I go to Jerusalem, ministering to the saints;
26 for Macedonia and Achaia have been well pleased to make a certain contribution for the poor of the saints who [are] in Jerusalem.
27 They have been well pleased indeed, and they are their debtors; for if the nations have participated in their spiritual things, they ought also in fleshly to minister to them.
28 Having finished this therefore, and having sealed to them this fruit, I will set off by you into Spain.
29 But I know that, coming to you, I shall come in [the] fulness of [the] blessing of Christ.
30 But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in prayers for me toGod;
31 that I may be saved from those that do not believe in Judaea; and that my ministry which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;
32 in order that I may come to you in joy byGod's will, and that I may be refreshed with you.
33 And theGod of peace be with you all. Amen.

27 Yes, it has been their good pleasure, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in material things.
28 When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by way of you to Spain.
29 I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the Good News of Christ.
30 Now I beg you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,
31 that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

A long, long time ago, there was nothing at all - no earth, no sky, no animals, no people. It was all dark and empty. But God was there! God is so powerful that He can make anything just by speaking. So God said "Let there be light!" and BOOM! There was light everywhere! God saw that the light was beautiful and good. He called the light "day" and the darkness "night." This was the very first day when God started making our wonderful world!

Explain Like I'm 10

Before anything existed - no planets, stars, or life - God decided to create the universe. The earth started out as a dark, empty place covered with water. But God's Spirit was there, ready to bring order and beauty to everything. When God spoke and said "Let there be light," light immediately appeared because God's words have incredible power. God looked at the light and was pleased with what He had made. He organized time by separating light (day) from darkness (night), creating the first 24-hour period. This shows us that God is organized and purposeful in everything He does.
