10 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.

11 Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

12 O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;

13 and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.

14 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Kidron, where was a garden, into which he entered, himself and his disciples.

15 Now Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus oft-times resorted thither with his disciples.

16 Judas then, having received the band

17 of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

18 Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon him, went forth, and saith unto them, Whom seek ye?

19 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am

20 he. And Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.

21 When therefore he said unto them, I am

22 he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

23 Again therefore he asked them, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

24 Jesus answered, I told you that I am

25 he; if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

26 that the word might be fulfilled which he spake, Of those whom thou hast given me I lost not one.

27 Simon Peter therefore having a sword drew it, and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. Now the servant’s name was Malchus.

28 Jesus therefore said unto Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath: the cup which the Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

29 So the band and the chief captain, and the officers of the Jews, seized Jesus and bound him,

30 and led him to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

31 Now Caiaphas was he that gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

13 And they say to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? She says to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

14 Having said these things she turned backward and beholds Jesus standing [there], and knew not that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus says to her, Woman, why dost thou weep? Whom seekest thou? She, supposing that it was the gardener, says to him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16 Jesus says to her, Mary. She, turning round, says to him in Hebrew, Rabboni, which means Teacher.

17 Jesus says to her, Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and [to] myGod and yourGod.

18 Mary of Magdala comes bringing word to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and [that] he had said these things to her.

19 When therefore it was evening on that day, which was the first [day] of the week, and the doors shut where the disciples were, through fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and says to them, Peace [be] to you.

20 And having said this, he shewed to them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced therefore, having seen the Lord.

21 [Jesus] said therefore again to them, Peace [be] to you: as the Father sent me forth, I also send you.

22 And having said this, he breathed into [them], and says to them, Receive [the] Holy Spirit:

23 whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted to them; whose soever [sins] ye retain, they are retained.

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 The other disciples therefore said to him, We have seen the Lord. But he said to them, Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and put my finger into the mark of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 And eight days after, his disciples were again within, and Thomas with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst and said, Peace [be] to you.

27 Then he says to Thomas, Bring thy finger here and see my hands; and bring thy hand and put it into my side; and be not unbelieving, but believing.

28 Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and myGod.

29 Jesus says to him, Because thou hast seen me thou hast believed: blessed they who have not seen and have believed.

30 Many other signs therefore also Jesus did before his disciples, which are not written in this book;

31 but these are written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son ofGod, and that believing ye might have life in his name.

25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

26 After eight days, again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being locked, and stood in the middle, and said, “Peace be to you.”

27 Then he said to Thomas, “Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don’t be unbelieving, but believing.”

28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”

30 Therefore Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book;

A long, long time ago, there was nothing at all - no earth, no sky, no animals, no people. It was all dark and empty. But God was there! God is so powerful that He can make anything just by speaking. So God said "Let there be light!" and BOOM! There was light everywhere! God saw that the light was beautiful and good. He called the light "day" and the darkness "night." This was the very first day when God started making our wonderful world!
