Make thee bald, and cut off thy hair for the children of thy delight: enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.

Woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
3
And they covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away: and they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
4
Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks, neither shall ye walk haughtily; for it is an evil time.
5
In that day shall they take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation,
6
and say, We are utterly ruined: he changeth the portion of my people: how doth he remove
7
it from me! to the rebellious he divideth our fields.
8
Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast the line by lot in the assembly of Jehovah.
9
Prophesy ye not,
10
thus they prophesy. They shall not prophesy to these: reproaches shall not depart.
11
Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
12
But of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye strip the robe from off the garment from them that pass by securely

as men averse from war.

In that day shall they take up a proverb concerning you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, [and] say, We are utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! He hath distributed our fields to the rebellious.

Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast the measuring line upon a lot, in the congregation of Jehovah.

Prophesy ye not, they prophesy. If they do not prophesy to these, the ignominy will not depart.
7
O thou [that art] named the house of Jacob, Is Jehovah impatient? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
8
But of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye strip off the mantle with the garment from them that pass by securely, that are averse from war.
9
The women of my people do ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their young children do ye take away my magnificence for ever.
10
Arise ye, and depart; for this is not the resting-place, because of defilement that bringeth destruction, even a grievous destruction.
11
If a man walking in wind and falsehood do lie, [saying,] I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink, he shall be the prophet of this people.
12
I will surely assemble, O Jacob, the whole of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as sheep of Bozrah, as a flock in the midst of their pasture: they shall make great noise by reason of [the multitude of] men.
13
One that breaketh through is gone up before them: they have broken forth, and have passed on to the gate, and are gone out by it; and their king passeth on before them, and Jehovah at the head of them.

The leaders of my people shall be cast forth from their luxurious houses; they are rejected because of their evil practices; draw ye near to the everlasting mountains.

Arise thou, and depart; for this is not thy rest because of uncleanness: ye have been utterly destroyed;

ye have fled, no one pursuing [you: thy] spirit has framed falsehood, it has dropped on thee for wine and strong drink. But it shall come to pass, [that] out of the dropping of this people,

Jacob shall be completely gathered with all [his people]: I will surely receive the remnant of Israel; I will cause them to return together, as sheep in trouble, as a flock in the midst of their fold: they shall rush forth from among men through the breach made before them:

they have broken through, and passed the gate, and gone out by it: and their king has gone out before them, and the Lord shall lead them.

But lately my people have risen up as an enemy. You strip the robe and clothing from those who pass by without a care, returning from battle.

You drive the women of my people out from their pleasant houses; from their young children you take away my blessing forever.

Arise, and depart! For this is not your resting place, because of uncleanness that destroys, even with a grievous destruction.

If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood lies, saying, “I will prophesy to you of wine and of strong drink,” he would be the prophet of this people.
12
I will surely assemble all of you, Jacob. I will surely gather the remnant of Israel. I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as a flock in the middle of their pasture. They will swarm with people.
13
He who breaks open the way goes up before them. They break through the gate, and go out. Their king passes on before them, with the LORD at their head.

If one is going <FI>with<Fi> the wind, And <FI>with<Fi> falsehood hath lied: `I prophesy to thee of wine, and of strong drink,' He hath been the prophet of this people!

I do surely gather thee, O Jacob, all of thee, I surely bring together the remnant of Israel, Together I do set it as the flock of Bozrah, As a drove in the midst of its pasture, It maketh a noise because of man.
13
Gone up hath the breaker before them, They have broken through, Yea, they pass through the gate, Yea, they go out through it, And pass on doth their king before them, And Jehovah at their head!
