1 Fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.
2 For Jehovah is righteous; he loveth righteousness:
3 The upright shall behold his face.
4 For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David.
5 Help, Jehovah; for the godly man ceaseth;
6 For the faithful fail from among the children of men.
7 They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor:
8 With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.
9 Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips,
10 The tongue that speaketh great things;
11 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail;
12 Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
13 Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy,
14 Now will I arise, saith Jehovah;
15 I will set him in the safety he panteth for.
16 The words of Jehovah are pure words;
17 As silver tried in a furnace on the earth,
18 Purified seven times.
19 Thou wilt keep them, O Jehovah,
20 Thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.
21 The wicked walk on every side,
22 When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

3 Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
4 Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths.
5 Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art theGod of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

10 All the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
11 For thy name's sake, O Jehovah, thou wilt indeed pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
12 What man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way [that] he should choose.
13 His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth.
14 The secret of Jehovah is with them that fear him, that he may make known his covenant to them.
15 Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net.
16 Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
17 The troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses;
18 Consider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins.
19 Consider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me [with] cruel hatred.
20 Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

1 [A Psalm] of David. Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in my innocence: and hoping in the Lord I shall not be moved.
2 Prove me, O Lord, and try me; purify as with fire my reins and my heart.

4 I have not sat with the council of vanity, and will in nowise enter in with transgressors.
5 I have hated the assembly of wicked doers; and will not sit with ungodly [men].

2 My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.
3 Yes, no one who waits for you will be shamed. They will be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.
4 Show me your ways, LORD. Teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation. I wait for you all day long.
6 LORD, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times.

Explain Like I'm 5

A long, long time ago, there was nothing at all - no earth, no sky, no animals, no people. It was all dark and empty. But God was there! God is so powerful that He can make anything just by speaking. So God said "Let there be light!" and BOOM! There was light everywhere! God saw that the light was beautiful and good. He called the light "day" and the darkness "night." This was the very first day when God started making our wonderful world!

Explain Like I'm 10

Before anything existed - no planets, stars, or life - God decided to create the universe. The earth started out as a dark, empty place covered with water. But God's Spirit was there, ready to bring order and beauty to everything. When God spoke and said "Let there be light," light immediately appeared because God's words have incredible power. God looked at the light and was pleased with what He had made. He organized time by separating light (day) from darkness (night), creating the first 24-hour period. This shows us that God is organized and purposeful in everything He does.
